Here at Lunar Tattoo we strive to create an atmosphere that benefits and nurtures our artists. We want to provide a space that encourages growth and cooperation. Below are the details of what we offer. Please reach out with any questions. For the right artist, certain terms could be negotiable. We are only looking to hire licensed artists at this time.
No apprenticeships are available.
At this time we have TWO booths available with our expansion coming to a close. Both booths will be available starting July 1st. Possible early move in options could be available based on completion of the expansion ahead of schedule
Artist Amenities
Everything we do is built around understanding your needs and helping you succeed. We offer:
A separate lobby to keep your clients comfortable and allow you to work undisturbed by any walk-in traffic.
Open concept artist rooms. You’ll work in a large room with one or two more artists. Giving you plenty of space while still fostering a friendly cooperative environment where you can socialize and grow with other artists.
A private break room where you can relax, draw, and eat away from clients. Giving you a space to unwind between clients.
Client and artist refreshments are available on both sides of the studio. Offering a large selection of drinks, snacks, fidgets, and blankets.
Two ways to work
We offer both booth rent and commission options for our artists. Allowing our artists to select the right fit for their work-life balance.
Booth rent is paid weekly, you are free to make your own hours but must supply yourself.
Commission artists are expected to work shop hours, all supplies are provided.
Commission
All standard disposables as well as premium supplies like Tegaderm and Bactine Max are provided.
Commission percentages start at 60% and go up to 70% during the hiring process. You are guaranteed a 5% raise after three months if you fit the culture of the shop and show you are reliable and trustworthy. You will get another raise at the year mark if you meet the same criteria again.
Commission caps out at 80%.
We offer weekly commission caps that go down each year that you stay with the shop. So the longer you work with us the more you will make. The shops goal isn’t to get rich but to pay the bills and make enough to support our artists.
Must work shop hours Tuesdays 8 AM to 4 PM and Thursday through Saturday 8 AM to 4 PM
Booth Rent
Booth rent is $325/week.
Make your own hours, work as little or as much as you would like.
You still have access to the break room and client/artist refreshments.
You must supply your own disposables. We will supply Madicide and trash bags. Other supplies are negotiable. We will also sell you supplies from the shops inventory if needed.
Option to take part in shop events and pop ups for 80% commission if desired.
